Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many girls are currently enrolled in the program?

Reflections has capacity for up to 24 students.  Our program remains intentionally small and non-institutional in nature.  We accept students who not only need our services, but whose needs are a fit with our current mix of students already enrolled.

When was Reflections Academy established?

Reflections Academy opened in 2016 with a team of well-experienced therapists who came together to create a modern approach to residential treatment.  Our team has decades of experience in therapeutic programming.

Can we talk to parents to hear testimonials of how this program helped their child?

Parent references and testimonials are always available.  Please be sure to let us know of your interest in speaking with families of students currently in our program, as well as those who have completed our program.  We are also happy to provide references from those we network with professionally.

How much parental involvement is expected? Will parents participate in therapy session or workshops?  Are parents expected to attend in person?

Parental involvement is an important part of Reflection Academy’s overall therapeutic approach.  Parents have weekly family-therapy sessions with one of our licensed therapists via phone, Skype, or other video conferencing, and our parent liaisons maintain a flow of ongoing information between our program and our families.

Reflections Academy therapists hosts parent-training workshops three times a year.  Parent weekend workshops allow families to work with our therapists and their child in person, in a workshop setting.  Parents should plan to attend if possible.
