Welcome to Reflections Academy

The mission of Reflections Academy is to empower adolescent girls to uphold high standards of characteracademic achievementphysical fitness, and spiritual values in order to become valuable members of their families and society.

"Nature is a marvelous teacher." - Michele Manning, Director

Located in beautiful Montana, our campus gives girls a chance to step away from the distractions of their current environment in order that they may start the process of turning inward, reflecting, and thinking more clearly about themselves. The location of Reflections Academy allows struggling girls to interface with the world in a very different way than they have previously, assisting them in the process of healthy change.

Reflections Academy retains highly-experienced, fully licensed, Master's-level therapists on staff. Students engage in regular one-on-one sessions with their assigned therapist, attend regular sessions with their family and therapist via video-conference, and participate in group sessions on a weekly basis. Therapy methods available include CBT, Experiential Therapy, Reality Therapy, Family Therapy, DBT, and EMDR. Our director, Michele Manning, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Montana.

Our Academic Program is fully accredited, and is designed to help girls continue their education, including credit recovery for those who need to catch up. Through the use of independent computerized course work, students are able to move at their own pace. The curriculum provided by Montana Digital Academy has a large selection of elective and required academic courses available. For students who are on track in their course work, they can easily move on.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." - Psalm 139:13 (NIV)

Spiritual growth and a relationship with the one who "knit me together" is a central piece of our program. It is the policy of Reflections Academy to not push or force faith or belief in the God onto our attending students. However, we do acknowledge that our relationship with God is a reflection of where our heart and mind may be.

Healthy, Active LIVING

Located near several National and State Parks, mountains, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls, outdoor recreation opportunities are plentiful, including hiking, horse riding, snowshoeing, kayaking, river rafting, rock climbing, and skiing. The girls also often play games together on campus outdoors, like capture the flag, soccer, volleyball, or badminton. There are plenty of indoor activities as well, and the girls live in a community where everyone is working on living healthier lives.

We Are A Family-Centered Program

Family involvement is an important part of Reflection Academy‚Äôs overall therapeutic approach.  Parents have weekly family-therapy sessions with one of our licensed therapists via phone, Skype, or other video conferencing, and our parent liaisons maintain a flow of ongoing information between our program and our families.

Reflections Academy therapists hosts parent-training workshops three times a year.  Parent weekend workshops allow families to work with our therapists and their child in person, in a workshop setting.  Parents should plan to attend if possible.
